The second round of the 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB took place at Brands Hatch, a circuit known for its tight layout and notoriously difficult overtaking opportunities. For Toby Trice and the Clean Racing team, this presented a unique challenge — and they rose to it with class and determination, securing two wins across the three-race weekend and extending their lead in the championship standings.

With Brands Hatch being Toby’s home circuit, the weekend had a special buzz. The grandstands were packed with enthusiastic fans, friends, and family, and the paddock was alive with energy. The team came into the round knowing that qualifying would be critical to success, and it proved to be one of the most pressure-filled moments of the weekend. With the entire grid tightly matched on pace, the key was finding clear track at the peak of the tyre window. Toby delivered an exceptional performance, just missing out on pole by a razor-thin 0.081s to Tom Bradshaw. However, it was his second-fastest lap that made all the difference, clinching pole for Race 2 by an even narrower margin of 0.009s. The tension was high, but the job was done.

Race 1 saw Toby start from P2. Slotting in behind Bradshaw at the start, he pushed hard in the opening laps, aiming to find a way through. However, the tight confines of the Indy circuit and the aggressive early pace caused the rear tyres to degrade more quickly than expected. Bradshaw was able to pull a gap and Toby brought the car home in second place, banking solid points and valuable data for Sunday’s two races.

That overnight data work paid off in Race 2. With some subtle yet significant setup changes, the Clean Racing crew helped Toby unlock more rear grip and better race-long balance. Starting from pole, he got the launch he needed and never looked back. He controlled the pace from the front, absorbing pressure when it came and showing tremendous composure to bring the car home in P1. A hard-fought and calculated win.

Race 3 followed a similar script. Again starting from the front, Toby was faultless off the line and quickly settled into a rhythm that saw him pull away from the chasing pack. With the car finely balanced and the team’s setup decisions proving spot on, he delivered a commanding lights-to-flag victory for the second time that day. Two wins from three races and a weekend to remember.

Toby was quick to credit the whole Clean Racing outfit for their commitment and performance: "The car was fantastic all weekend. While we were still tweaking to find that perfect race balance, it’s safe to say we had everything dialled in when it mattered. Peter and the team did a fine job, and I couldn’t be more proud. We’re all pushing for those marginal gains and it’s incredible to be part of such a dedicated group."

The success was made even sweeter with so many of Toby’s sponsors attending across the weekend. With the sun shining and the racing delivering excitement at every turn, it made for a perfect home event. The garage was alive with conversations and smiles, from meet-and-greets to behind-the-scenes tours, and seeing guests cheering from the balcony after each podium moment added to the atmosphere.

Away from the circuit action, Toby’s Racing for Fertility campaign continued to make a meaningful impact. Commentators gave the initiative prominent airtime during the weekend, reaching a wide audience and further raising awareness around male fertility. Toby reflected: "It makes me so proud to use this platform to help people. Motorsport is a high-speed, high-performance world, but it also gives us a place to make a real difference in people’s lives. That’s something truly special."

As the championship continues to build momentum, the results from Brands Hatch have put Toby in a strong position moving forward. But there’s no hint of complacency in the Clean Racing garage. The focus remains laser-sharp and the hunger for improvement is as strong as ever.

"We can't rest on this," Toby added. "The racing is so close at the top. We need to keep pushing, keep learning and make sure we don’t drop the ball."

Looking back at the weekend, the energy, emotion and execution all pointed towards something special. A double win on home soil, extending the championship lead, and doing it all with family, fans and partners present. It was a weekend to savour.

Toby summed it up best: "A huge thanks to everyone who supported us at Brands Hatch. The reception was incredible and to take a double win in front of my home crowd really was something special. Let's keep this momentum going!"
