Tough Weekend at Knockhill for Toby Trice After Promising Start

Toby Trice arrived at Knockhill for the first time with high hopes to continue his championship challenge. The Scottish circuit, renowned for its short, technical layout and undulating nature, promised to deliver an exciting weekend of racing.

The weekend began on a strong note. In practice, Toby quickly adapted to the circuit and consistently placed near the top of the timing sheets. “Practice went very well. We learnt the track quickly, and Clean Racing delivered a setup that worked really nicely for the short, bumpy circuit. I felt great in the car,” said Toby.

However, qualifying brought heartbreak. After a strong start in the session, running in the top two, disaster struck on lap six. “Qualifying was where it all went wrong. Everything felt incredible, but for some reason the car just fell away from underneath me, and I was fired into the wall at Turn 1. I was absolutely gutted,” he explained.

The resulting damage to the Porsche Cayman GT4 meant that Toby was unable to compete in the three scheduled races. “A mistake like this is a really hard pill to swallow. I threw away a solid chance in the championship, and the cost implications of rebuilding the car are huge. Motorsport is an incredibly high-pressure environment, and the margins are so small – this was one of those moments where things didn’t go our way,” Toby added.

Despite the setback, Toby remains determined and focused on the next round. “When things are going well, the wave is an awesome one to surf. But the risks are high, and this time we paid the price. I want to say a huge apology to my sponsors, Clean Racing and our fans for not being able to race this weekend. The focus now is on coming back stronger for Silverstone,” he concluded.

The next stop in the calendar is the iconic Silverstone Circuit, where Toby will look to bounce back and reignite his championship fight.
